Wedding Excitement Brewing

The family is gathering in New Haven now for the big event--Carmel becomes Mrs. Barnhart. Bride and groom have arrived and we wait for our apartment where we're staying at OMSC to be filled with noise and laughter by the end of the day.

Last week, I was asked to choose photos for the wedding slide show, which turned out to be a great way to prepare for the next chapter of life (as my dad would say). What a rich life we have shared with Carmel to this point. Now we've seen Jason's side, too, of the origins of the J & C Barnhart family.

We have participated in so many rites of passage in other cultures. (A rite of passage is when people move from one state to another in life-in this case from single to married.) Now we have one of our own. Oh, to do as well as the Adioukrou in this!
