I've been working furiously getting all the info on the way trauma healing has developed over the past years. The book is now published in 41 languages with another 78 languages underway -- in places all around the world. Over 77 organizations are involved using these materials. I counted 65 people who could lead or help lead training workshops--many of them African.
With all of this activity underway, it's time to shift into the next gear. With a bit more coordination and funding, all of these efforts could multiply.
During World War 1, the British Methodists had a meeting to close down mission fields due to lack of funds, but when they heard the story of the huge response to the Gospel in Ivory Coast, they doubled their efforts instead. Pray that God would work at this summit meeting on Wednesday and touch hearts and minds with the needs of traumatized people. The huge response to this work has resulted in it outgrowing the platform SIL can provide. What will God do now?
