That's the White House in the Background

My first visit to D.C.--it was impressive to see the place that has such an influence on the lives of so many people around the world. At the Viet Nam Memorial, I found the name of someone I knew who died there and was amazed at the feelings that brought on: that his death would always be remembered.

Patricia Bradley and I got started orienting her to her role as Trauma Healing Liaison. We found kindred spirits at World Relief in Baltimore and anticipate collaborating on getting Scripture in appropriate language and media (and Trauma Healing) to the immigrant communities in the US.

Now I'm off to SoCal for our annual Scripture Use (SU) Leadership Team meetings. This involves the SU coordinators for each area of the world, plus a few others who serve Scripture Use in special areas. Pray that God will guide us as we discern the way forward. We're meeting at the US Center for World Missions in Pasadena, and will be visiting Fuller and Biola as well as connecting with the "Perspectives" course staff.
