I"m in Dallas on the cusp of a rather complex Trauma Healing equipping session. The training process is an initial equipping session, then people go out and use what they've learned and come back for the advanced session to nail down the process, skills, and content. This session beginning today will have 2 tracks: initial and advanced, and both will be conducted in Spanish and English. I've done French/English before (and hardly noticed), and I've done 2 tracks before, but never this combo. Praise God for a great staff (Pat Miersma, Edna Headland, Larrie and Dick Gardner and Schalk Botha). Unfortunately, one facilitator, Rita Peterson, is out with the flu. Participants represent ministries in the US, Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands, Peru, Ecuador, Guatemala, Mexico, DRCongo/ Republic of Central Africa, and another country in Asia.
One of the advanced participants was explaining to me how much joy she felt when she lead a healing group with women in her village in Guatemala and seeing their response. We talked about feeling like midwives, seeing this process take place as people discover and respond and the Holy Spirit works. Then she said, "You must have so much joy, seeing this happen over and over." Yes. Front row seat. God is good.
This same week I know of equipping sessions going on in Bujumbura, Burundi and South Sudan.
Please pray.
thsi is a test
