So they went from village to village, preaching the gospel and healing people everywhere.

Since March, the 20 participants of the Story-based Trauma Healing workshop we held in Goma, DRC have been out telling the stories they translated into their languages to trauma survivors. I'm on my way to Goma now for the second workshop. What stories will they have to tell of their experiences?
Already we've received a written report from one of the teams. We had only left them a small amount of money, not nearly enough to pay for all the expenses they incurred. This didn't stop them, however. They found an additional $1300 from their churches and from their own pockets. I'm amazed as there's not a lot of discretionary income in Goma.
And now a story for you: Everywhere these guys went, people were very interested in the stories and then they shared their trauma openly. One man cried a lot when he heard one of the stories from the Trauma Healing book about a pastor who had lost his wife in war. It reminded him of when rebels burned his wife, his children, and lots of other people alive in their houses. The whole village was burned down.
After having a good cry, the man said he felt peace inside. Then as they continued to talk with him,  he believed in Jesus and they prayed with him.
Please pray for these valiant men and women, preaching the good news and healing the sick. It's reminiscent of God's actions throughout the centuries.
