Happy and New Year 2011

In Africa, you can wish people Happy New Year well into the spring, so mid-January is not at all late by African standards.
In the trauma healing ministry, we talk about grieving losses and over time finding your new identity. Ralph and I are on that grief journey, not that we're feeling sad but we're figuring out who we are in this very new life. It takes time and it's hard to go from knowing so much to knowing so little: how to get to the grocery store, how the organization I work with functions, mountains of new people with names to remember, and . . . how should I write this blog now that I'm working with ABS? What voice do I have now?
We're excited about this new year and where it's taking us, and are adjusting more to life in PA with each day that passes.
Some years are more of the same. For us this one is not.
Happy New Year 2011 to you. We are praying for you, in all the challenges and happy moments life may have in store for you in this new year.
